Samantha Truong, MD

Samantha Truong, MD is an academic generalist in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Boston Medical Center and is an Assistant Professor at Boston University School of Medicine. She provides care at the Refugee Women’s Health Clinic and NeighborHealth, a Federally Qualified Health Center in East Boston. She is an Approved Bilingual Provider/Qualified Bilingual Staff for Spanish. Her research and clinical work in global health equity centers on respectful maternity care, refugee and (im)migrant health, and reproductive justice/family planning access. Through the Doris Duke International Clinical Research Fellowship, she has been collaborating with Partners In Health since 2018 with a focus in Chiapas, México, where she has developed research and capacity-building initiatives with the Sexual and Reproductive Health team. As a member of Physicians for Human Rights, she performs asylum evaluations for survivors of sexual and gender-based violence.
