At Boston Medical Center, we understand the impact of illness and related challenges on patients' and their loved ones' lives. Clinical social workers are available in many areas of the hospital to help patients and their families deal with the broad range of psychological issues and stress related to coping with illness and maintaining health.
Our Caring professionals' help people solve problems, strengthen their coping skills and recover from painful experiences. We also assist patients in communicating meaningfully with their health care teams as well as gaining access to hospital and local community based resources.
Clinical social workers are licensed, masters level, mental health professionals trained to help people find solutions to many problems, from daily issues to life's most difficult situations. We accomplish this through a unique combination of psychotherapy, active problem solving and direct connection with a network of community resources. Social workers are part of a multidisciplinary team, staff who ensure a holistic approach to your health care.
Social workers at BMC meet with patients of all ages and cultural backgrounds. We have access to interpreters and language line to work with patients in their native languages as well.
