Acerca de

Alice K Jacobs, MD, FACC, FAHA, MSCAI, is a cardiologist at Boston Medical Center (BMC). Dr. Jacobs is also a professor and Vice Chair for Clinical Affairs in the Department of Medicine at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. She is a renowned expert in interventional cardiology, coronary revascularization, and sex-based differences in cardiovascular disease, and her research interests focus on coronary revascularization strategies and sex-based difference in ischemic heart disease. Dr. Jacobs’ accomplishments and contributions to the advancement and practice of clinical cardiology have been recognized with many awards, including the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care’s Ray Bahr Award of Excellence, the Kenneth B. Schwartz Center’s Compassionate Caregiver Award, the Society of Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions Women Luminaries in Interventional Cardiology Award, the Lumen Achievement Award in Interventional STEMI Care, and the James B. Herrick Award for Outstanding Achievement in Clinical Cardiology by the American Heart Association (AHA). She served as president of the American Heart Association in 2004-05 and as president of the Association of University Cardiologists in 2011.
