Acerca de

Carla B. Monteiro holds an Associate's degree in Human Services and a Substance Abuse Counseling Certificate from Quincy College, a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Bridgewater State University, and a Master's degree in Social Work from Boston College. She will pursue a Ph.D. in Social Work at Sacred Heart University this fall. Carla is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) and Manager of Clinical Programs at the Grayken Center for Addiction at Boston Medical Center. She also works as an Emergency Psychiatric Clinical Social Worker at Boston Children's Hospital. Carla has previously worked as an Addiction Clinical Social Worker at the Bridge Clinic at Brigham and Women's Hospital and with incarcerated men and women at the Suffolk County House of Correction and Nashua Street Jail. Carla volunteers as a Forensic Evaluator for the MGH Asylum Clinic and Physicians for Human Rights in her spare time. She is a former mentor (Big Sister) with the Big Sisters Association.
