Dr. David M. Greer is a neurologist and the Richard B. Slifka Chief of Neurology at BMC, and professor and Chair of the Department of Neurology at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine.

Dr. Greer is an expert in spinal disorders, vascular neurology, and neurocritical care. He has authored more than 300 peer-reviewed manuscripts, reviews, chapters, guidelines, and books and serves as a reviewer for several of the most prestigious scientific journals, including the New England Journal of Medicine, Annals of Internal Medicine, Brain, Neurology, and Stroke. Dr. Greer's research interests include predicting recovery from coma after cardiac arrest, brain death, and multiple stroke-related topics, including acute stroke treatment, temperature modulation, and stroke prevention.

Dr. Greer received his medical degree from University of Florida College of Medicine.
