Dr. Gregory A. Grillone is an otolaryngologist and the Chief of Otolaryngology at BMC, and the M. Stuart Strong and Charles W. Vaughan professor and Chair of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine.
Dr. Grillone is an expert in laryngology, as well as surgery of the upper aerodigestive tract, sleep surgery, laser surgery, ... and head and neck cancer surgery. He has special expertise in minimally invasive and endoscopic techniques to treat benign and malignant diseases of the pharynx, larynx, trachea, and nose including throat cancer, papilloma, and other benign conditions, amyloids, granulomatosis with polyangiitis, sarcoids, and hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia.
Dr. Grillone is the recipient of several National Institutes of Health grants to study various aspects of head and neck cancer. His research interests include early detection of head and neck cancer and margin guidance in head and neck tumor surgery using spectroscopy.
Dr. Grillone received his medical degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine, NYC and his bachelor’s degree in biology from New York University. He completed his residency in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery at Boston University-Tufts University Combined Residency Program.
