The Comprehensive Stroke and Cerebrovascular Center at Boston Medical Center offers a full spectrum of clinical and academic services to provide the latest treatment for patients with brain, carotid and spinal vascular diseases. We are a multidisciplinary group comprised of board-certified stroke neurologists, interventional neuroradiologists, and cerebrovascular neurosurgeons. We are a Comprehensive Stroke Center (CSC) certified by the Joint Commission. We evaluate patients both in the outpatient and inpatient settings with 24/7 hospital coverage.

Boston Medical Center is a collaborating site in the NIH Stroke Trials Network (NIH StrokeNet), which aims to further stroke treatment, prevention, and rehabilitation for patients across the United States. Our specialists are also researchers in the Framingham Heart Study based at Boston University, one of the world’s most informative and longest running studies on cardiovascular disesae. In addition, our faculty are actively recruiting patients in several clinical trials to further the care of patients with stroke. 

Información Sobre Residencia y Becas

Education and Training

An ACGME-accredited Vascular Neurology Fellowship is offered for graduates of ACGME-accredited neurology residency training programs. In addition, the stroke division faculty participate in the education and training of residents who wish to gain experience in vascular neurology. Medical students may apply for a two-week neuromuscular elective. Trainees are invited to participate in weekly stroke case discussion conferences.
